Art Exabition Kunst at Flomvollen Lillestrøm Oslo

A fantastic Sunday, September 7, 2025. I start the day as I often do with a refreshing swim in the sea and feel lucky to have this opportunity. Where I can cool off and feel the water embracing my body, while the mist slowly glides over the water and the muted sounds of the geese, the train in the distance, and a plane taking off from the airport a few kilometers away. Where travel-loving people are probably heading to another city or country to warmer climes. For my part, I am glad to finally feel the delicious refreshing autumn air and I look forward to seeing the autumn colors come through, I love the colors in autumn. Even though it is actually quite warm for September. The mornings are cool, but during the day it's warm and the water temperature is 18 degrees Celsius now in the morning. I get out of the water, take off my swimsuit and put on the cozy, warm bathrobe. I sit down on the bench and enjoy a good, hot cup of freshly brewed coffee, savoring the silence and looking forward to traveling to Lillestrøm and Flomvollen, where there is supposed to be an art exhibition, and I am excited to see what the day will bring. The car was packed the night before for the drive. I have of course packed almost everything I have and will approach it with optimism, I believe it should be more form than less, I think. Suddenly time sneaks up on me, and things have to go fast, oh well, a little after the plan so I get to drive from Sandefjord at 8:00. The plan was to leave a bit earlier, but that didn't happen. I have set Google Maps to Flomvollen and am driving off in the thick morning mist, which actually gets thicker as I go. It's absolutely wonderful when the mist is thick, but the sun breaks through in some places after the valley. The air is fresh and cool. I have put on a dress because I know I always get warm, like a baker's oven, but I have to stop and put on a knit cardigan I have with me, then it will be good. When I finally arrive, many are coming, and I start unloading the car, and I have a lot compared to some, lol. Oh well, I will set up the pavilion I have bought and hang up the pictures. I am not ready to start, but that's fine, it's not stressful for me. I am here and ready to meet people. Many people are quickly flocking to see as the weather is beautiful, absolutely fantastic, with 70 exhibitors present along the river, and the weather is partly cloudy with a good temperature for strolling and admiring all the art. I haven't had a chance to present everything before some show interest in the painting I made of Færder Lighthouse, which I have chosen to print 5 copies of; the original is at home, and I'm unsure if I want to sell it. The print is on 320g paper and the colours are of good quality. I am selling my first painting and I'm so happy that the person likes my expression in the piece; it means a lot to me. The people who have bought the paintings of Færder Lighthouse have their own connection to Færder, and it is so nice to know that the painting holds such value for them. That's exactly what I want people to feel when they sit and look at the paintings, to sit with a good feeling and recall their memories of the place. Many are stopping by and have a look at my paintings and I receive a lot of praise and compliments for the atmosphere in my pictures. Proud and humble, and it warms me. I am a person who enjoys talking and find it very pleasant to chat with everyone. I have found a good spot to stand and sell two more pictures and a puzzle. I have talked to many and hope to hear from those who have shown interest in my pictures. I have had a fantastic day and what a place, I completely understand why people use this area for recreation, exercise, and children playing at the skatepark. Being as talkative as I am, I'm not fully packed and ready to leave until around 16:30 and the event ended at 15.00, but what does it matter when the day has been so wonderful? On my way home, the traffic is a bit heavier, but not too bad; the sun is shining and I'm chatting a little with my partner and my mother on the way home. I'm looking forward to getting home, although it is a task to unpack the car again, but I don't mind so much when the day has been so great. Thanks to Kunst at Flomvollen for organizing such a wonderful event. Now it's back to working whit some illustrations for a book, but mor of that in another blog day.
